LA COMISIÓN DE LAS COMUNIDADES EUROPEAS,

Visto el Tratado constitutivo de la Comunidad Europea,

Visto el Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 del Consejo, de 20 de diciembre de 2002, por el que se aplica el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley para el comercio internacional de diamantes en bruto (1), cuya última modificación la constituye el Reglamento (CE) n° 101/2004 de la Comisión(2), y, en particular, su artículo 20,

Considerando lo siguiente:

(1) El artículo 20 del Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 prevé la modificación de la lista de los participantes en el sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley incluida en el anexo II.

(2) La Presidencia del sistema de certificación del proceso de Kimberley, a través de su notificación de 1 de abril de 2004, ha proporcionado una lista actualizada de los participantes en dicho sistema. La actualización de la lista se refiere en particular a la inclusión de Singapur como participante y la eliminación del Líbano de la lista. Procede modificar el anexo II en consecuencia.

HA ADOPTADO EL PRESENTE REGLAMENTO:

Artículo 1

El anexo II del Reglamento (CE) n° 2368/2002 se sustituirá por el anexo del presente Reglamento.

Artículo 2

El presente Reglamento entrará en vigor el día de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Unión Europea.

El presente Reglamento será obligatorio en todos sus elementos y directamente aplicable en cada Estado miembro.
